Winter Wonderland (not so much)

We finally had enough snow for Caitlin to go sledding for the very first time.

Too bad she doesn't like snow!

Whenever Caitie got snow on her hands she would ask to have her hands be wiped off. She was frustrated that she kept slipping in the snow. She hates the cold wind. She didn't mind sitting in the sled while her Dada pulled her around but that was about it. I think we have a summer baby on our hands!

At least she got to wear her snowsuit!

Caitlin's Celebrates Lunar New Year

Caitlin welcomed the Year of the Snake at Grandma and Grandpa's house! She loves Grandma's cooking and had fun opening red envelopes and showing off her new red Chi-pao dress. She also learned to gun-bay (cheers) with Grandpa!

Caitlin is WALKING!

Not long after her 1st birthday, Caitlin started really making progress with walking. Well, she's now able to run across the room! She is really loving the independence and now getting into everything more than ever. Here is the first of a couple of videos of her walking.

Caitlin Turns One!

Caitlin turned one year old on August 20! To celebrate, we hosted a party for friends and family at the Art Farm in the City on the upper east side. There was music, art and a petting zoo, all of Caitie's favorite things. We were so excited to have all our friends and loved ones there to celebrate! Caitlin was a good hostess and had fun playing with everyone!

Penn State Friends Come to NYC

Our Penn State friends came to town for a visit. Caitlin got to meet the Umbenhauers, Davis's and Chris Mavis. We had a picnic in Central Park and dad got to use his "Wonder Wheeler" to cart all our picnic gear. Later we went to dinner to celebrate Zach's and Caryn's birthdays at Ciano. Caitlin was on her best behavior and had fun singing Happy Birthday!

Montauk & the Hamptons

Caitlin's Auntie Joanne and cousins Ethan and Joshua came to New York for visit all the way from Taiwan. So the whole family went to Montauk and the Hamptons for a week long vacation. The house was beautiful and Caitlin really enjoyed the pool. We also visited the Montauk Lighthouse and the Children's Museum in Bridgehampton.

It was the first time Caitlin experienced the beach, and she LOVED it! She was fascinated by the ocean and had so much fun being splashed by the waves. She also had fun spending time with her grandparents, aunts, uncle and cousins.
